What's Love Got to Do with It?
Tina Turner asks, “What’s love got do with it?" The Beatles say, “ all you need is love” and the Eagles wonder about a girl in a flatbed Ford and if her love is going to save them.
My quick answers to those questions....
Love HAS everything to do with it.
Love IS pretty much all we need and there are now scientific studies starting to prove that love truly can heal.
Love CAN save us by raising our vibration and overcome fear, anger, and judgment.
When groups of people meditate together and tap into the frequency of love, studies show there are less accidents and less crime recorded throughout the world during that same time frame. Ongoing studies of remote energy healings show that when a group of people tap into love and send love to someone in the hospital, they find people are healing.
Think about what could happen, If we all reached a place of collective, connected understanding and tuned into love as the highest vibration. If we can ground ourselves in love and mindfully create our decisions, actions, and words accordingly, there would be less fear, scarcity, judgment, and fighting in the world. Throughout the ages there have always been wars. Huge global battles raging for years, and subtle daily wars, waged verbally, on paper, and now texted or posted on social media. All conflict, both on large scale or even within families, stems from the lower vibrations of fear, judgment, anger, scarcity, greed which breeds divisiveness and destruction.
What if, those of different political, religious, economic backgrounds instead looked at each other with kind curiosity, compassion and empathy rather than with judgment, fear or the need to wipe out differences? What if we could all co-exist with our differences ? Coexisting doesn’t mean you always agree, rather that you agree to disagree or simply respect that others have a different view or belief.
The Dalai Lama said, “ when you talk, you are repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.” What would happen, if we all were to pause and listen with nonjudgmental awareness and curiosity? I know, you might think I’m channeling a 60’s hippie. And yes, in late 60’s/ early 70’s, I had a peace sign, a POW bracelet , and a cool suede purse with beads. Maybe this message is my throwback to that era since back then I was too young and sheltered to understand it all at that time. But, now I understand better and see how science is proving how the energy of love and its vibration can truly heal people and communities. This article is not meant to be preachy or spiritual, though our souls and spirits make us all spiritual beings. It is up to us each of us to decide how much we want to tap into that side of ourselves. We each have the power to choose our thoughts. It may not always be easy to choose positive thoughts but it is doable. Ask yourself if you would rather tap into love, joy and harmony, peace, gratitude, and grace or get stuck in fear, anger, judgment, jealousy, and grief. Don’t get me wrong all emotions are important to feel and know, but once you acknowledge the lower vibrations in your life, try and release them and shift into the higher frequencies of love, compassion, and gratitude. Try and stay in self-love. You may find that it's easier to look at your “ adversary” ( be it yourself, a neighbor, a family member, a co-worker, a stranger) with more forgiveness, empathy, and compassion if you look at them or yourself as a soul, not just a person. We are all soul’s learning lessons. One of the keys to sharing love is having self-love. To make it clear, self-love is not a narcissistic love – it is a forgiving, compassionate, kind, non-judgmental love towards yourself. It’s not thinking you’re always right or perfect, but it is about being kind to yourself when you mess up. We all make mistakes, but it is how we handle those mistakes that matters. Once we have self-love and understand our own boundaries and power it is much easier to share the compassion, empathy, and kindness with others. My mom used to tell me that if I said it would be a good day – there was a better chance of it being a good day. Tapping into love is similar. When I start my day by tuning into the high vibration of love, my day flows with much more ease and positivity. Remember that love is the highest vibration and fear is one of the lowest. It takes awareness of the present moment to stay aligned with the higher vibrations. Which vibration would you rather live in? Then hold for two.
Repeat this three times.
Then continue to breathe in and out and your own pace, sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation releasing any tension In your body, let it all melt away.
As you breathe in and out, you sink deeper and deeper into relaxation, feeling safe and protected releasing any fears and worries releasing any judgment of yourself or others.

Put your hands on you heart and think of something that makes you feel pure love, it could be a person a place, a thing or Divine Love. Sit with this love for a while, and then fill your whole body with this love. Every inch, every cell everywhere within your body, mind ,soul, and spirit, fill it all up with this pure love.
Then, send this love out three feet around you, filling your aura. Sit here for a while. Feeling the love surrounding you. Then, send this love to a friend, a family member, a neighbor, or someone you know who may need it. Then send this love out to your neighborhood, your city, the world, and the universe, or anywhere else you feel guided to do so.
When you are ready bring this love back to you. Love yourself with this love. Bring it back to your heart. This love is always there - the capacity to love, be love, be loved, send love, and most importantly love yourself..
Bring your attention and awareness back to your body back to the room and when you are ready you can open your eyes if they are closed.
