The mission of Four Oaks Press publishing company  is to bring more awareness of mindfulness and wellbeing for all children and their families. We want everyone to understand how our thoughts, breath, love, kindness, compassion and gratitude can help to calm and empower children, families and communities. We offer easy tools to help ride the waves of changing emotions and help people stay in the present moment to respond versus react to challenging situations.

In some cultures the Oak is a strong reminder that mankind has the ability to overcome all odds with an endless capacity for kindness. At Four Oaks Press our goal is to help spread more kindness and love and less stress, while inspiring children, parents, and caregivers to become engaged in reading and especially in story-time – that special time to bond, learn, escape, relax and dream with your children. We hope to encourage a love of reading while helping the world to be a bit more loving and kinder.

An Award-Winning Participation Book Introducing Mindfulness. In Mindful Owl Adventures, siblings Alexa and Chester go on a magical night-time adventure with Mindful Owl to meet new animal friends. During their journey, the children learn about animals while Owl teaches them (and the reader) – to breathe in and out to self-calm and focus, to visualize to feel safe, to be present and aware, to be sharing, loving and kind, and mindful of others so everyone can get along.

Annie Ranger is a mom, an award-winning author, a certified mindfulness, meditation and Reiki Master Teacher. Annie is trained as a master in a variation of Reiki which is a very powerful and gentle form of energy that  comes from a high level of consciousness and provides healing, empowerment, and guidance.  She combines her training in Reiki, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga with her love and years of research to guide people to overcome obstacles and challenges so they can respond versus react, and live and perform at their highest good - their highest health, highest success, highest joy.

 

She graduated from UCLA with a degree in History. She combines her experience working in the corporate world as an editor, recruiter, and sales manager, with her time being a mom, wife, and a teacher. Drawing on all of these aspects of her life brings perspective to her sessions and writing.

 

Annie loves teaching adults, children, and families how to regulate their emotions to shift their energy to harness their own power  to calm, focus, heal and reach goals. She helps people learn about the power of their breath and energy, and how to be aware of their thoughts and vibrations in the present moment. She shares easy-to-learn science backed tools through her writing, one-on-one sessions and group sessions, workshops, and school enrichment programs.
